Network Motherhood and Science


The German offers a forum for all those who identify as mothers and work in the field of science. The Network is a place of empowerment and support. We exchange ideas, offer a space to gain information and to network with each other.

We do not want to let the hostile, unhealthy and competitive structures in current science and academia to get us down!

Local Group Motherhood and Science Frankfurt


The local group of Motherhood and Science in Frankfurt holds regular meetings with the opportunity to exchange ideas and network. All mothers in the field of science are welcome, as well as persons interested in the topics. We have regular meetings during the semester covering specific topics.


Mailinglist Network Parents and Science

The  (only in German) provides information about activities at 51ÁÔÆæ, shares tips and experiences and serves to network scientists with families.

"Care and (un)fair": A Guide for Addressing Discrimination Against Parents and Caregivers in Research Funding Programs


This  emerged from a pilot study conducted by the Network Motherhood and Science in collaboration with SAFI and WÆ, funded by the Max-Traeger Foundation. It aims to highlight and analyze discriminatory tendencies in Germany's research funding system.

Career Support – Training for female* scientists

The "Career Support – Training for female* scientists" program is aimed at PostDocs at career levels R2 and R3 offered by the Equal Opportunities Office. The program's goal is to empower women* in academia and enhance their opportunities for a successful career through targeted support and training. The offered training modules address the specific challenges faced by women in the academic field and provide support in areas such as developing leadership skills, shaping advancement processes, and expanding career strategies.
