International scholars and post-docs at GU are invited to participate in the German Language Courses (''Everyday German'') offered by GWC in cooperation with GU's International Study Centre (ISZ). Courses start in April (summer term) and October (winter term). International researchers at GU will be invited to enroll in March/September via email. Please note: Enrollment is possible only AFTER receiving this invitation email! These courses are free of charge. Registration is binding!

More intensive language courses offered by the or by GRADE may be taken throughout the semester depending on your personal language level. For further information please click .

An unique way to further develop already existing languages skills could be our also highly sociable tandem language exchange programme organized by the ISZ.

Before arriving in Germany we recommend that you learn some basic German either at the local or with an online provider of language courses. The caters explicitly to the needs of students and academics.
