Electronic Exam Registration

Registration and Deregistration in Winter Semester 2024/2025

The electronic exam registration must be done for the winter semester 2024/2025 within the following periods (late registrations are not possible):

20.01.2025 to 31.01.2025

Students with compulsory registration

Please register all final module examinations (MP), certificates of attendance (TN) and coursework (SL) via QIS/LSF. All final module examinations, certificates of attendance and coursework must be registered!!!

Please check exactly which form of credit (i.e. whether MP, TN or SL) you are registering for the desired courses. Subsequent changes to or booking of unregistered MP, TN and SL are NOT possible after the examination registration phase.  Please also note the requirements of your study regulations in the respective modules. Registered final module examinations that are not taken will be graded with 5.0.

If a course is assigned to several modules of your degree program, you decide which module you assign the course to when you register for the examination.

If it is not possible to register for several courses, please first check whether you have submitted the registration for the module examinations (application for admission to the module examinations) to the Examinations Office at the beginning of your studies:

Without this, you will not be able to register and you will not be credited with any examinations (your grade account will not be activated). Even if you change your degree program, the document must be resubmitted to the Examinations Office.

You are welcome to send the application by email to the Examinations Office (pra.fb03@soz.uni-frankfurt.de).

Only registered achievements will be booked!!!

Exceptions (you may only use module sheets in these cases!) and notes:

Optional module (ATTENTION NEW): In some of the new study regulations from 2022 there are optional modules. These must be registered electronically. Exceptions are non-subject-specific courses (not assigned to FB 03 in the course catalog). These courses CANNOT be registered for electronically. For this purpose, please fill out the following module sheet and send it by e-mail to the Examination Office FB 03 Social Sciences.
You can select your degree program in the document using the drop-down field.
If this does not work, save the document locally and then open it.

BA Gender Studies: Electronic examination registration in QIS/LSF is not possible for Gender Studies students. Please have all final module examinations and proof of participation certified on a module certificate
() and submit this as a pdf by e-mail to the Examinations Office.

Exception MA Political Science (only study regulations of 2014): All registrations for the module "Ergänzungsbereich" must be made with a module sheet. Please have all module examinations and proof of participation in the "Ergänzungsbereich" certified on a module sheet (see download center) and submit it as a pdf via e-mail to the examination office. The sheet will be pre-filled by you and must be signed and stamped by the lecturer. You can then submit the sheet via email to the Examination Office for booking. You can select your course of study in the document using the drop-down box. If this does not work, save the document locally and then open it.

Internship: For the internship module no electronic exam registration is possible. You do the registration via module sheets. The module sheets for internships can be found in the download center of the FB 03 under your study program.

Colloquia: If the colloquium cannot be registered, please contact the examination office. This may be the case in exceptional circumstances.

MA ISPC and the MA Political Theory: Also for all courses you take in Darmstadt, the exam registration runs online.

Achievements requiring prior registration

In general, you register for all coursework and examination achievements, i.e. for all participation certificates and all module examinations. Online registration replaces the submission of module record forms.

However, you register just once for a course, either for:

  • Only a participation certificate for an undergraduate seminar; the abbreviation for this is PS
  • Only a participation certificate for a seminar; the abbreviation for this is S
  • The end-of-module examination in an undergraduate seminar; the abbreviation for this is MP (PS)
  • The end-of-module examination in a seminar; the abbreviation for this is MP (S)

Registration for the end-of-module examination in a course is at the same time registration for the participation certificate.

Extracurricular Achievements

In the download area for your degree programme, you can find the module sheet for:

  • Extracurricular courses you have attended: With the module sheet, you can have additional achievements verified that you have attained within your degree programme.
