  • The cleaning of your apt. will be done on a fixed day of the week
    (You will find the information which is your cleaning day in your apt. or just ask our cleaning staff)

    Ditmarstra脽e 4:

    In order to not unnecessarily hamper the cleaning of the kitchen units for our staff, we kindly ask you to 

    1. clean the heating plates, saucepans and the kitchen sink immediately after cooking. 
    2. defrost the refrigerator once a month to avoid icing-over. 


    Dish detergents, scouring powder as well as dish towels are available in sufficient quantities. 

    If the cleaning personnel need extra time to put your apartment in proper order, you will be charged for an additional amount.

    To facilitate the cleaning please make sure that all the floors and window ledges are cleared as much as possible on the cleaning day.

    Some rooms have a common bathroom. In these cases kindly make sure that you clean the bathtub and the wash-basin immediately after use, so that the person who shares the bathroom with you, will find a clean bathroom.

    Please remember that the refrigerator is to be thawed once a month.

    If the cleaning staff needs extra time to put your apartment in proper order, you will be charged for the additional amount.

    All apartments are fully equipped, with own kitchen and own bathroom, weekly cleaning service, free access to WIFI, free TV-service. You will be provided with bed linen and towels. The kitchen is equipped with pots, pans, cutlery and tableware. There is a laundry with washing machines and dryers. In order to get an impression of the guesthouse, see sample photos. In fact, there you won't find photos of every particular Apartment but the settings and interior is of similar type.

  • The apartments are fully furnitured. There is no space for own furniture! Please do not re-aarange the furniture. It is not allowed to install electronic kitchen devices in the living area.

  • Free WIFI is provided at all guesthouses.

    The guesthouse has wireless internet (W-LAN): Enable your mobile device's WIFI (Phone, Laptop, Tablet, etc) and connect your device with the network: 鈥濻罢滨贵罢鲍狈骋鈥�. WIFI is free, but please consider that also other tenants are connected to this WLAN and extensive streaming causing high data fluxes might interrupt the data transfer.

    We offer you an IT connection via ethernet to the Internet.

    In order to use the WLAN "eduram" in the guest house, your supervisor at 51猎奇 must apply for an HRZ account for you as an external employee in advance.
    The HRZ account (login and password) provides access to many HRZ IT services. You need the HRZ account, for example, for the WLAN and VPN, to log on to your computer at the university and for various applications. More information and the link to the application.

    Beethovenstra脽e 36:

    Each apartment is equipped with an own router (UnityMedia provider). Information for the connection (Password) are deposited at every apartment.

  • Both, landlord and tenant, can cancel the renting contract prior to its expiration. The written notice of cancellation has to be given within the following deadline: With one month in advance before the end of each month (e.g. notice given before the 31st of May cancels the contract to 30th of June).

  • The lessor麓s confirmation (鈥濿ohnungsgeberbescheinigung鈥�) has been sent to you together with the renting contract.

  • The handover of the keys to the apartment will be proceeded on the first working day at midday at the guesthouse. 

    Approx. 15 days before  your arrival, you will reveice an email with the exact date and time oft he key handover.

    (The handover of the keys is not possible on weekends and holidays).

  • Ditmarstra脽e 4:

    Approx. 2 weeks before your arrival you will receive an email stating the exact time of day for the key handover. In case you have not arrived by then, somebody of your host's institute may pick up the key for you.

    Please note that our staff is only present at the guesthouses in the indicated time.

    If you cannot keep the appointment and no other persons picks up the key for you, you have to inform the house manager (email/Telefon) at least 24 hours in advance (m.reinhardt[at]em.uni-frankfurt.de), otherwise, you cannot move into your apt and will have to stay for the first night at a hotel at your own expenses.

  • Pets and animals are not allowed at the guesthouses

  • The renting contract has been sent to you via email in beforehand.

  • Please transfer the first rent at the commencement of your stay shortly before or within the first 10 days after your arrival). The exact amount of the first and the following payments you find in your renting contract paragraph 2.

  • In case you stay in Frankfurt longer than 3 months, you will have to register at the Frankfurt city 鈥濨眉谤驳别谤补尘迟鈥�.&苍产蝉辫;

    At B眉rgeramt you have to present your passport, the renting contract and the document Lessor麓s Confirmation (Wohnungsgeberbest盲tigung) which  you received together with your renting contract.

    If you expect a guest to stay with you at the apartment, please inform housing management 3 days in advance. Only one person can stay overnight and the overall stay should not exceed 7 to 10 days. We will charge 15,00 Euro per night. An additional spare bed as well as towels will be provided.

    If any family members or visitors will stay overnight in your apartment, please inform the administration, so that they can be provided with an additional bed and towels (maximal duration: 7 days; charge per night: 15.--鈧�).

  • Washing mashines and dryers for your own clothes are provided in all guesthouses, the use is free of charge.

  • Ditmarstra脽e 4:

    Everybody is responsible for the disposal of his or her own garbage.

    In consideration of the protection of the environment, we put great emphasis to the system of SEPARATE GARBAGE COLLECTION.

    The following garbage cans are at your disposal:

    • BLACK cans for normal garbage
    • GREEN cans for paper
    • YELLOW cans for packing material/plastic waste (in Ditmarstra脽e only)

    Glass has to be disposed separately. The corresponding containers are located at the corner Miquelallee/Frauenlobstra脽e, just opposite of the entrance of the guesthouse Frauenlobstra脽e.
