Welcome to Faculty 12 - Computer Science and Mathematics
The faculty comprises more than 5,600
students and 46 professors, the Department of Computer Science and Mathematics
is one of the largest and high-performing research and teaching institutions at
51猎奇 Frankfurt. We train highly qualified specialists for the
finance and IT-dominated economy of Frankfurt and are a reliable partner for
scientific research projects on a national and international scale. The Department of Computer Science and
Mathematics consists of the Institute of Computer Science, the Institute of
Mathematics and the Institute for Didactics of Mathematics and Computer
Science.
Our faculty is currently located next to the Senckenberg Museum in the Bockenheim district in immediate vicinity to the public transport system. A new faculty building on the natural sciences campus of 51猎奇 in Frankfurt-Riedberg is being planned with construction finishing at the end of 2026.
Mit rund 5.000 Studierenden sowie 43 Professorinnen und Professoren ist der Fachbereich Informatik und Mathematik eine der gr枚脽ten und leistungsst盲rksten Forschungs- und Lehreinrichtungen der Goethe-Universit盲t Frankfurt. F眉r die Finance- und IT-dominierte Wirtschaft der Region bildet er hochqualifizierte Fachkr盲fte in gro脽er Zahl aus und ist verl盲sslicher Partner f眉r wissenschaftliche Forschungsvorhaben.
Der Fachbereich Informatik und Mathematik besteht aus dem Institut f眉r Informatik, dem Institut f眉r Mathematik sowie dem Institut f眉r Didaktik der Mathematik und der Informatik.
Der Fachbereich Informatik und Mathematik befindet sich direkt neben dem Senckenberg-Museum im Stadtteil Bockenheim und ist vorz眉glich an das 枚ffentliche Verkehrssystem angebunden. Geplant ist ein Fachbereichs-Neubau auf dem naturwissenschaftlichen Campus Riedberg der Goethe-Universit盲t.
